  • 15+ years of overall experience required. 4+ years in SAS Administration required. 10+ Java Full Stack Developer required.
     
About the Role:
 
We’re looking for a Lead SAS Viya Engineer with strong Java Full Stack and Cloud expertise to design, build, and optimize advanced analytics platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a key technical leadership role — you’ll guide architecture decisions, mentor developers, and ensure seamless, scalable, and secure delivery of SAS Viya solutions in a Zero Trust environment.
 
What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the design and deployment of complex SAS Viya platforms on GCP (Zero Trust environment) ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to plan and execute technology refresh projects and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Enhance user experience through URL management, analytics integration, localization, and improved system interoperability.
  • Expand and optimize the SAS Dataset Library for better reusability and data consistency.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployments using modern DevOps tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to establish scalable, high-performance development processes that align with Ford’s engineering standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices for clean, efficient, and secure code.
  • Work closely with product owners to align solutions with business objectives, promoting collaboration and innovation.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • SAS (Software): 5+ years as SAS Administrator, with strong SAS Viya experience.
  • Java: 10+ years of experience in Core Java API development (Full Stack preferred).
  • Cloud Computing: 5+ years of experience building and deploying Docker containers on OpenShift.
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP): 5+ years, including GCP Cloud Run.
  • PostgreSQL: 2+ years of experience with database development and optimization.
Preferred Skills:
  • C++: 2 years
  • .NET Development: 1 year
  • Linux: 3 years
