Role Overview
The Senior Software Engineer supports the migration of a legacy analytics platform from onpremises infrastructure to AWS cloud environments. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and validating SAS 9.4 environments, as well as migrating data, users, and application assets. The position works closely with infrastructure, security, and analytics teams to ensure a secure, scalable, and reliable transition aligned with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
SAS Installation & Configuration
  • Install and configure SAS 9.4m8 on AWS-based infrastructure
  • Set up SAS environments with secure HTTPS communication protocols
  • Apply required patches and hot fixes to maintain system stability
Migration Planning & Execution
  • Participate in project kickoff and requirements gathering activities
  • Define and execute migration plans for transitioning onprem servers to AWS
  • Consolidate and migrate multiple server tiers into cloud-based infrastructure
  • Migrate SAS metadata, users, and configurations to the new environment
Data & Asset Migration
  • Migrate file system content including SAS datasets, programs, source code, and project files
  • Support migration of SAS Enterprise Guide assets and related components
  • Configure SAS libraries and access layers to align with organizational requirements
Validation, Testing & Troubleshooting

  • Perform post-installation validation and system testing
  • Support UAT activities and resolve migration-related issues
  • Troubleshoot system, configuration, and data issues during and after migration
Infrastructure & Security Compliance
  • Complete required security and compliance checklists and validations
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise security and operational standards
  • Support cloud infrastructure integration across Windows and Linux environments
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience
