Job description

Job Summary: 

The SAP TM (Transportation Management) Analyst will support, configure, and optimize end-to-end Transportation planning processes within our industry domain of e-commerce digital operation, focusing on transportation planning, carrier selection, freight cost management, and settlement. The SAP Analyst will translate business requirements into technical solutions, manage system enhancements, and ensure data integrity within SAP TM and integration with SAP S/4HANA MM, OTC, WM and FI modules

Job Expectations:

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Work with business stakeholders (logistics, IT, supply chain) to understand pain points and translate them into SAP TM solutions

  • Solution Design & Configuration: Configure SAP TM modules for transportation planning, carrier selection, freight cost management, and settlement, aligning with best practices

  • Integration: Design interfaces and manage integration between SAP TM, SAP S/4HANA, SMC3, BN4L, P44 and external carrier/3PL systems

  • Functional Specifications: Create detailed documents for custom developments (enhancements, reports) for technical teams

  • Testing & Training: Lead system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and develop/deliver end-user training

  • Support & Optimization: Troubleshoot issues, provide ongoing support, and recommend continuous process improvements for efficiency

  • Project Management: Contribute to project plans, manage small-to-medium projects, and mentor teams

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:         

  • Strong understanding of logistics and transportation business processes

  • Deep knowledge of SAP TM functionality and configuration

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA TM 

  • Analytical, problem-solving, and strong communication skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage stakeholders

  • SAP TMS certification is often preferred

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task

Equipment Knowledge:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred

Experience Requirements:

Generally requires a minimum 7+ years experience. Experience with data migration, reporting, and industry standards is a plus.

Education Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree in IT, Supply Chain, or Business or related field preferred, or a combination of equivalent work experience.

Judgment/Reasoning Ability:  Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy.  Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. The Team Member is frequently required to sit, walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers, bend, stoop and reach with hands and arms.  Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the work day. The Team Member may occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 25 pounds.
