Job description

Location - Thisrole is eligible to be performed remotely, however, if you reside within 100miles of Organic Valley offices in WI, you will be expected to collaborateonsite in a hybrid fashion for 4-8 days per month. If you reside outside of 100 miles, you willtravel in 4 times/year for intentional collaboration and connection.

Summary of Role
The SAP Technical Development Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP S/4 HANA and SAP BTP solutions. This role ensures system stability, performance, and alignment with business objectives by delivering scalable, high-quality technical solutions across production support and project initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
SAP S/4 Hana Development (55% of time)
oDesign, develop, test, and support SAP S/4 HANA and SAP BTP solutions following Clean Core principles 
oTroubleshoot and resolve production issues, including break-fix and performance optimization
oDevelop reusable components using RESTful ABAP Programming (RAP), CDS views, and modern SAP development frameworks
oBuild and support integrations between SAP and internal/external systems (APIs, BAPI, CPI, REST services)
oPartner with external vendors, SAP, and system integrators on solution design and delivery
oDevelop and execute test strategies (unit, integration, regression, UAT) to ensure solution quality
SAP S/4 Hana Technical Architecture (35% of time)
oLead technical architecture, design, and development across the full application lifecycle (design through deployment and support)
oEnsure adherence to SAP best practices, development standards, and quality controls (e.g., ATC, SQL Trace, Code Inspector)
oManage and coordinate technical deliverables for projects, ensuring timely and high-quality releases
oCollaborate with business stakeholders, BSAs, and technical teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions
oMaintain technical documentation, standards, and knowledge transfer practices
SAP S/4 Hana Technical Mentoring (10% of time)
oProvide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship across the development team
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in on-call support rotation

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
10+ years of SAP ERP experience, including: 
oABAP, CDS, OData, UI5/Fiori
oSAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)
oAdobe Forms
5+ years of experience in SAP S/4 HANA development
Strong understanding of SAP architecture, development standards, and Clean Core principles
Experience with REST APIs, BAPI development, and enterprise system integrations
Experience with SAP BTP services, including development tools (BAS) and integration capabilities
Experience with SAP development and performance tools (ATC, SQL Trace, Runtime Analysis)
Strong technical design, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming) model 
Experience with SAP Cloud ALM 
Familiarity with AI tools and capabilities within SAP and enterprise environments (e.g., Joule, Copilot)
Experience working with third-party vendors and system integrators 
Strong communication skills across technical and business audiences
Ability to lead and collaborate within cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Knowledge of Agile and application lifecycle management best practices
Strong organizational and time management skills
Customer-focused mindset aligned with cooperative goals
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
Willingness to support after-hours and weekend activities as needed
Base salary wage range: 97,385.60 - 129,833.60 per year
This salary wage rangeis exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also includeincentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. Ifyou are hired at CROPP, your final base salary wage compensation will be determinedbased on factors such as skills, education, and/orexperience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity andconsider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any finaloffer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role shouldexpect to be at the lower end of the salary wage range and hiring at the maximum of the salary wage rangeis not typical.
