Job description

SAP SD/LE/SCM Analyst

Location: Pleasantville, NY – Hybrid (3 days in office per week)

Position Summary:

The SAP SD/LE/SCM Analyst is responsible for delivering expert‑level functional support, configuration, and solution design across SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), Logistics Execution (LE) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules. This role requires consulting‑level SAP experience, including the ability to analyze complex business processes, design scalable solutions, lead enhancements, and partner closely with business users to drive process optimization. The SAP SD/LE/SCM Analyst supports day‑to‑day operations, project initiatives, system integrations, and continuous improvement efforts within the order‑to‑cash and logistics lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

Functional Analysis & Solution Delivery

  • Provide expert SAP SD/LE/SCM consulting, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, and functional design.
  • Configure SD/LE/SCM components such as pricing, order management, delivery processing, billing, ATP, shipping, transportation, and returns.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
  • Lead testing efforts including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Support SAP integration with external systems (e.g., warehouse/3PL, EDI, carriers) and internal applications.


Operational Support

  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to order‑to‑cash and logistics execution processes.
  • Monitor IDoc processing, pricing issues, availability checks, shipment/transportation errors, and billing discrepancies.
  • Provide day‑to‑day support for end users, including issue resolution, training, and process guidance.
  • Maintain documentation for configuration, processes, and functional specifications.

Business Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
  • Translate business needs into SAP solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and visibility.
  • Recommend process improvements and system enhancements aligned with best practices.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, business‑focused language.

Projects & Enhancements

  • Lead and participate in SAP projects such as new functionality rollouts, upgrades, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Support cross‑functional efforts in pricing optimization, transportation improvements, warehouse automation, and customer experience initiatives.
  • Collaborate with development teams on enhancements, integrations, and customizations.


Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of professional experience supporting SAP SD/LE/SCM at a consulting level.
  • Deep knowledge of the retail industry
  • Deep expertise in SD/LE/SCM configuration including pricing, outputs, partner determination, delivery processing, shipping, and billing.
  • Strong understanding of the full order‑to‑cash lifecycle and related business processes.
  • Experience working with IDocs, EDI, APIs, and SAP integration technologies.
  • Ability to independently lead functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Carrier/3PL integrations, transportation management, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications.
  • Knowledge of related modules (FI/CO, MM, eWM/WM, TM).
  • Experience in industries with complex logistics or distribution environments.
  • SAP certification in SD, LE and/or SCM.
