Job description

Role: SAP TM Consultant

Location : Danville, CA (50% Travel required)

Duration : 12+Months

The ideal candidate will have extensive functional and technical knowledge of SAP Transportation Management and experience integrating SAP TM with SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, carrier systems, and other supply-chain applications. SAP EWM experience is required as a secondary skill.
Responsibilities


Design, configure, implement, and support SAP Transportation Management solutions.
Configure and optimize transportation-planning processes, including:
Load building and load optimization
Route planning and optimization
Carrier selection and tendering
Freight-unit and freight-order management
Shipment consolidation
Transportation execution and tracking
Freight settlement and cost calculation
Develop transportation strategies that improve load utilization, reduce freight costs, and support on-time delivery.
Configure planning profiles, selection profiles, transportation lanes, schedules, carrier profiles, and routing rules.
Support automated and manual transportation planning processes.
Configure carrier determination and selection based on cost, capacity, service level, location, and business rules.
Support tendering processes, including direct tendering, broadcast tendering, and carrier-response management.
Integrate SAP TM with SAP S/4HANA or ECC for sales orders, purchase orders, deliveries, shipments, and freight settlement.
Support integrations between SAP TM and SAP EWM for warehouse loading, unloading, staging, appointment scheduling, and transportation execution.
