Job description

Overview

The Wellhead Material Coordinator manages the end-to-end flow of wellhead materials, including procurement, inventory, SAP transactions, forecasting, reconciliation, supplier coordination, and offshore logistics. The role requires strong SAP MM and materials management experience, 3-5 years supporting offshore wellhead operations, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams while ensuring materials are available on time. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, safety awareness, and process improvement skills are also essential.

Responsibilities
  • The Wellhead Material Coordinator ensures the steady flow of materials necessary for operations, own the entire process of material management in SAP system from sourcing to invoicing, this requires learning SAP transactions to properly execute the work.
  • Responsible for the requisition of goods by thoroughly understanding the well's upcoming material needs through demand plan/Fiori forecast.
  • Primary point of contact for wellheads as it specifically relates to materials management requirements.
  • Focal point to gather all data for required materials/items needed for wellhead delivery. Work with procurement to get required Purchase Requests executed, ensure materials and service Purchase Orders are issued to promote uninterrupted flow of deliverables to multiple locations, as needed.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers in support of customer planned deliverables.
  • Deliver materials forecasts associated with planned procurement and consumption of Wellhead materials (inclusive of Long Lead material).
  • Track inventory physically via issuance of goods receipts, movements of material, consumptions and well returns in SAP.
  • Reporting and analysis of transactions posted in real-time via SAP. Such as, but not limited to, proper goods receipt execution, receiving discrepancies resolutions, consignment, and goods issues performance in conjunction with material movements based on consumption.
  • Complete all physical and financial reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring discrepancies are identified, investigated, and resolved within established reconciliation timelines and target dates. This includes validating transactional data, confirming inventory or asset movements, documenting variances, and escalating issues when required to maintain compliance, operational integrity, and financial accuracy.
  • Assist in the delivery per the Wellhead Material Equipment List, process guidance and support.
  • Assist Wellhead stakeholders with SAP material identification and material mastering.
  • Attend and collaborate in regularly held planning sessions with key suppliers, asset engineers, and Procurement in support of addressing any potential bottlenecks, deferred deliveries or any other potential issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
  • Support Wellhead technical community to initiate/participate in any required vendor specific clarification/ troubleshooting/logistical planning/ meetings and follow-up with any required actions and/or documentation.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of Key metrics regarding inventory turns, consumption, delivery dates and status reports, in collaboration with the inventory team annual forecast.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements by analyzing workflow gaps, identifying root causes, proposing corrective actions, and supporting the rollout of required changes. Follow up to ensure full compliance, repeatability, and longterm reliability of updated processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, assess competing priorities, and address issues with sound judgment to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Observe trends and customer requests to create and maintain inventory schedules by keeping track of operational requirements and purchasing expectations.
  • Facilitate crossfunctional coordination to ensure seamless communication, aligned actions, and efficient execution across teams, enabling the delivery of consistent, valuedriven results.
  • Work in conjunction with the company's inventory team and stakeholders to identify and help facilitate surplus material for potential sale or disposal

Enhanced Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient in SAP MM Module and SAP GUI, with the ability to execute all required transactions, maintain accurate material master data, process goods movements, and support auditready documentation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in endtoend materials management, including inventory control, procurement strategies, inventory certification, reconciliation processes, maintenance and repair coordination, and documentation management.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of handson experience supporting Offshore Wellhead operations, with a strong working knowledge of wellhead programs, rig operations, and materials flow in the Gulf of Mexico environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel), with the ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate effectively across functional groups.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and transportation requirements for offshore material movements, including staging, manifesting, loadout planning, and vendor coordination.
  • Excellent criticalthinking skills, with the ability to assess priorities, evaluate operational risks, and make sound decisions in fastpaced, dynamic environments.
  • Ability to work independently while managing both shortterm operational needs and longrange planning, ensuring materials readiness and timely problem resolution.
  • Strong timemanagement capabilities, with the discipline to prioritize highimpact tasks and consistently meet fluid deadlines that support operational continuity.
