Scalence L.L.C. is seeking an SAP Business Objects Administrator to design and develop reporting and analytics solutions. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensuring the efficient performance of BI solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using SAP Business Objects tools (e.g., Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Lumira).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document reporting and analytics requirements.
• Analyze data sources and recommend best practices for BI solutions.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions.
• Design and maintain Universes to ensure efficient query generation and optimal report performance.
• Implement joins, contexts, and derived tables to ensure accurate and consistent data modeling.
• Perform thorough testing of reports, dashboards, and Universes to ensure accuracy and performance.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
• Debug and resolve issues related to data accuracy, performance, and visualization.
• Optimize reports and queries for improved performance and scalability.
• Document report specifications, data models, and user guides for BI solutions.
• Work closely with database administrators, data engineers, and other IT teams to ensure smooth data integration.
• Support ad-hoc reporting needs and troubleshoot issues raised by users.
• Install, configure, and upgrade SAP Business Objects components (e.g., BI Platform, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, etc.).
• Manage BO servers, clusters, and environments (Development, QA, and Production).
• Set up user authentication and authorization using systems like LDAP, Active Directory, or SAP SSO.
• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the BO environment.
• Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the platform.
• Configure and optimize report scheduling, distribution, and delivery.
• Ensure backup, recovery, and failover processes are in place and regularly tested.
• Apply patches, updates, and service packs to keep the system up-to-date.
• Provide technical support for SAP BO issues and incidents.
• Debug and resolve server, report, and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with SAP support to address and resolve product-related bugs and issues.
• Work with report developers and business analysts to optimize report design and performance.
• Assist in migrating reports, universes, and other objects between environments.
