Job description

Job Title: SAP Business One (B1) Administrator – Vape Distribution
Location: Linden, New Jersey

Department: Information Technology
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Business One Administrator to support a high-volume vape and tobacco distribution business operating in a regulated environment. This role ensures system stability, inventory accuracy, excise tax compliance, and uninterrupted warehouse operations.
Salary Range
$80,000 – $95,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

SAP B1 System Administration
  • Monitor and maintain SAP Business One performance and uptime
  • Manage users, security, authorizations, and licenses
  • Apply patches, upgrades, and SAP B1 add-on updates

Compliance & Excise Tax Support

  • Support excise tax workflows and regulatory reporting
  • Ensure accuracy of tax classifications and compliance logic
Inventory & Distribution Operations
  • Support lot/serial tracking, FEFO/FIFO processes, and recalls
  • Maintain warehouse workflows, EDI connections, and shipping integrations

Database & Performance Optimization
  • Work with SQL Server to optimize performance and backups
  • Diagnose slow queries, blocking, and TempDB utilization
Add-Ons & Integrations

  • Administer 3rd-party add-ons (WMS, EDI, Labeling, Reporting)
  • Test all changes first in sandbox/staging system

Cloud & Infrastructure Coordination

  • Liaise with hosting providers (Cloudiax, AWS, Azure)

  • Monitor server health and performance metrics

User Training & Documentation
  • Provide Level 2/3 support to users
  • Create SOPs, system documentation, and training materials

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of SAP Business One administration in a production environment
  • Strong SQL Server knowledge
  • Experience with warehouse and distribution processes
  • Familiarity with add-ons (EDI, WMS, shipping, tax engines)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP B1 or related SAP certification
  • Experience in regulated industries (vape, tobacco, alcohol)
  • Reporting skills (Crystal Reports, Power BI)
