Job description

Job Summary:
The Sanitation Associate is responsible for performing sanitation and cleanliness duties within the assigned warehouse and office facilities. This role ensures that all areas meet health and cleanliness standards through regular cleaning, waste management, and sanitization practices. The Sanitation Associate plays an essential role in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment to support daily warehouse operations.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform sanitation duties for the warehouse and office facilities, including:
    • Emptying waste baskets and disposing of trash properly
    • Mopping, vacuuming, sweeping floors, and dusting furniture
    • Sanitizing bathroom sinks, toilets, and other high-touch areas
    • Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of breakrooms and kitchen areas
  • Restock restroom, kitchen, and breakroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and garbage bags.
  • Transport and dispose of trash into designated garbage bins or dumpsters.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces and work areas to meet health and safety standards.
  • Report any safety or fire hazards to the supervisor in a timely manner to ensure a safe working environment.

Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure all sanitation tasks are completed thoroughly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Good time management skills to efficiently complete assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly environment within the warehouse and office areas.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning and sanitation equipment, supplies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet daily sanitation goals.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work in various temperature and environment conditions as required by the warehouse setting.
