Job description

JOB TITLE: Sanitation Associate
DEPARTMENT: Sanitation
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Sanitation Lead
DEPARTMENT MANAGER: QA Director
BACKUP PERSONNEL: Sanitation Supervisor/Other Sanitation Associate
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sanitation Associate schedule is 8PM to 4:30AM, with occasional overtime and weekends. Flexibility is required. Sanitation Associate is responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of equipment in compliance with company policies related to good manufacturing practices (GMP’S), Food Safety and Human Safety.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Required to work in wet environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and utensils daily
  • Clean other production, warehouse, cooler and freezer areas, as needed
  • Follows and records daily, weekly, and quarterly Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)
  • Follows relevant Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s)
  • Follows food safety standards including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), food regulations, and other sanitation procedures
  • Able to use required provided Personal Protective Equipment
  • Assure a safe work environment and report safety concerns to appropriate Management
  • Responsible for food safety and quality
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Sanitation or cleaning experience in food manufacturing (preferred but not required)
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
