Statco DSI Process Systems has an immediate opening for a highly skilled and experienced Project/Site Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of process piping installation projects primarily in the beverage industry, with occasional projects in the liquid food and personal markets. As a Project/Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects, coordinating site activities, and managing subcontractors to deliver turnkey solutions to our customers. Your expertise in process piping and strong leadership skills will be crucial in ensuring project quality, safety, and timely delivery.

As a Site Manager for Statco-DSI, you maintain organization in a fast-paced work environment, overseeing process piping & equipment installation projects. You provide on-site guidance to installation teams, helping ensure projects are completed accurately, safely and on-budget. You work to coordinate site activities and provide guidance to our subcontractor teams. Your expertise in safety, site management, process piping and problem solving is crucial to ensure a premium customer experience.
This position is based at our Engineering Center in St. Louis, MO but does require travel to customer sites in the US and Canada. Candidates should have a construction and project management background with a strong grasp of food, brewing, and/or soft drink process design. Ideal candidates would also have a Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering degree and a strong grasp of food, brewing and/or soft drink process design

  • Execute and assist in multiple projects simultaneously in the food and beverage industry
  • Oversee the entire site installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including work schedules, resource allocation, and material procurement, to meet project timelines.
  • Manage and supervise on-site installation teams, subcontractors, riggers, electricians, and controls companies to ensure efficient and high-quality project execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify and address any potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and fabrication, to ensure seamless project coordination and timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns or issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and control costs to meet financial objectives.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive project reports, including documentation of work progress, milestones achieved, and any variations or changes to the original project scope.
  • Work with Engineering Department and clients through all phases of the project through successful startup
  • Develop and manage project schedules

  • Manage P&ID and mechanical drawings and Installation

  • Engineering or Construction Management Degree and/or related field
  • Project Management Professional certification is a plus but not required
  • Proven experience (5 years) in managing site installation projects, preferably in the beverage industry, with exposure to the liquid food and personal markets.
  • Food, beverage, personal care project management experience in various aspects of engineering and utilities management is beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of sanitary stainless steel tubing and piping systems, installation techniques, and industry standards is preferred.
  • Understand process piping systems layout and routing (Liquid Blending, Tank Systems, Wort, CIP, Filtration, CO2, CO2 Recovery, Air, Water, Steam, Glycol, Ammonia, Sweetener, Package Release)
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams, clients, and subcontractors and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the aptitude to make decisions quickly and efficiently.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required. 40-60% travel anticipated, many times over a 2-3 week period of time
