Job Description Summary

The Director of Government Pricing, Reporting and Analysis plays a critical leadership role within the Government Pricing organization, responsible for managing the operational execution of Government Pricing processes, regulatory reporting, and Gross-to-Net (GTN) analytics across federal and state healthcare programs. Reporting to the Head of Government Pricing, the Director ensures the accurate execution of pricing calculations, statutory reporting, and compliance processes, while supporting cross-functional partners in Market Access, Finance, Legal, and Compliance. This role translates regulatory requirements and pricing strategies into scalable operational processes, financial analytics, and reporting frameworks that support compliant market access and informed business decisions. The Director also leads a team responsible for pricing calculations, reporting submissions, contract analytics, and pricing data governance, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and operational efficiency across Government Pricing programs.

Position Location:

This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ US Headquarters site.

Our Sandoz flexible hybrid working approach allows US office-based employees to work up to 50% of their monthly workday remotely. This role will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.

Major Accountabilities

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Government Pricing Operations and Execution

Oversee day-to-day execution of Government Pricing calculations and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance across federal and state programs including Medicaid and other government channels.

Manage statutory pricing submissions and supporting documentation, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to government agencies.

Direct operational processes supporting Government Pricing programs, including rebate calculations, chargeback reconciliation, and contract-related pricing analytics.

Ensure operational compliance with government pricing regulations and internal control frameworks, including adherence to SOX requirements.

Gross-to-Net Analytics and Financial Insights

Lead development and maintenance of Gross-to-Net (GTN) models and reporting, supporting financial forecasting and pricing analytics across government channels.

Provide analytical insights to support Market Access and Finance teams in evaluating pricing strategies and contractual implications.

Monitor pricing trends, rebate activity, and contract performance to identify risks and opportunities impacting GTN performance.

Support financial planning processes by delivering data-driven insights related to government pricing impacts on net revenue.

Regulatory Monitoring and Implementation

Track changes in federal and state pricing regulations, working with Legal and Compliance teams to assess operational impact.

Support implementation of regulatory updates by translating new requirements into operational procedures, reporting updates, and system configurations.

Ensure internal policies, procedures, and documentation reflect current regulatory expectations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Market Access, Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Contracting teams to ensure alignment between pricing operations, contracting strategies, and regulatory requirements.

Provide subject matter expertise on Government Pricing calculations and reporting processes to internal stakeholders.

Support cross-functional initiatives related to pricing analytics, contract execution, and system enhancements.

Process Improvement and Systems Optimization

Identify opportunities to improve Government Pricing processes, reporting workflows, and data management practices.

Support implementation and optimization of pricing systems and technology platforms (e.g., Model N, Revitas, SAP).

Promote data accuracy, process efficiency, and strong internal controls within Government Pricing operations.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead and develop a team responsible for Government Pricing reporting, analytics, and operational support.

Provide coaching, technical guidance, and professional development opportunities to strengthen functional expertise across the team.

Establish clear performance expectations and ensure timely execution of key deliverables.

What you'll bring to the role:

Required Qualifications, Education & Experience:

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry

  • Deep expertise in Government Pricing, rebates, chargebacks, and Gross-to-Net economics

  • Proven track record advising senior executives on pricing strategy, regulatory policy, and financial risk

  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams and enterprise initiatives

  • Experience evaluating pricing implications of business development and portfolio strategy

  • BA/BS in business required. Bachelor's degree; preferably in a relevant field (Healthcare, Business, Finance); advanced degree (i.e., MBA) a plus

  • Understanding of US healthcare regulations and legislation; anticipate, identify, assess impact, and provide solutions to legislative, regulatory, and industry changes

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry business model, pricing trends and economics of broader healthcare environment.

  • Agility to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team atmosphere and maintain a highly positive working environment

Preferred Requirements:

Prior management experience leading large high performing teams

Thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace and the key drivers influencing product prescribing patterns

Experience in GTN forecasting, accounting and reporting, for brand, Bio and generic products

Strong understanding of data and digital tools to advance data literacy and analytical capabilities

Proficiency with life science applications. Model N, Revitas, SAP a plus

Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

We also follow a hybrid work policy that combines a mix of in-person and remote work to allow our employees flexibility.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $160,300 - $297,000 USD/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/26 through 12/31/26, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

On September 30, 2021, Sandoz entered into a 5-year Corporate Integrity Agreement. Certain positions will have responsibilities to support the execution and adherence to CIA obligations, CIA-related deliverables, and any relevant audit, monitoring or Independent Review Organization (IRO) remediation.
