Composites Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Saturdays, 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Pay: $18/hour
Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Composites Technicians to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on production role working with composite materials, foam, plastics, carbon fiber, and metal components. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, following detailed work instructions, and maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, trim, shape, and finish composite components
  • Work with materials including carbon fiber, foam, plastics, and metal
  • Perform sanding, assembly, and finishing operations
  • Read and follow work instructions, process sheets, and production documentation
  • Use hand tools and shop equipment, including sanders, bandsaws, presses, and vacuum equipment
  • Perform visual inspections and identify quality concerns
  • Measure and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
  • Support quality standards by recognizing and escalating issues when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality expectations

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or composites experience preferred
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions
  • Comfortable working with composite materials, carbon fiber dust, and manufacturing debris
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete required documentation
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to perform hands-on, physical work in a production environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
