Job description


We are seeking a highly skilled Aluminum Casting Supervisor to oversee and manage the evening operations of our aluminum casting team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metal casting, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of aluminum alloy processes and quality standards. The Team Leader will ensure safe, efficient, high-quality aluminum casting production while supervising a team of skilled operators and technicians.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Supervise Casting Operations: Lead, motivate, and oversee the aluminum casting team in executing daily production schedules, ensuring operations meet quality standards, safety guidelines, and production goals.
Process Optimization: Monitor and improve casting processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and product quality. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements, troubleshooting, and defect reduction.
Team Management: Assign tasks to team members, manage work schedules, and provide technical guidance. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Quality Control: Ensure all castings meet the required specifications and quality standards. Perform regular inspections and coordinate with the quality control team to address any defects or non-conformances.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring that all team members are trained and compliant with workplace safety standards, including PPE use and equipment operation.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance and troubleshooting of casting equipment, furnaces, and molds to minimize downtime and optimize production. Coordinate with the maintenance team for routine checks and repairs.
Training & Development: Provide ongoing training for new and existing team members, ensuring all employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to operate casting equipment and follow safety procedures.
Production Monitoring: Track production metrics (e.g., yield, cycle time, downtime) and performance reports. Identify and resolve any production issues, ensuring minimal delays or interruptions.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, safety audits, maintenance logs, and quality checks. Prepare reports for management on production performance, team progress, and improvement initiatives.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics, to ensure seamless production workflow and timely product delivery.

Quality Focus: Experience in quality control processes and the ability to inspect and ensure the quality of metal castings, including dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
