Job description

Painter/Blaster is responsible for the preparation of metal surfaces for painting and will also paint components, equipment, interiors, and exteriors of vessels. Two (2) years of marine blasting and painting or four (4) year of continuous Company experience preferred.

  • Read and interpret paint specifications and manufacturer application instructions.
  • Well versed in spraying conventional, airless, or hand paint systems.
  • Can apply zinc, epoxy, enamel, or other types of surface coatings.
  • Familiar with Steel Structural Painting Chemical (SSPC) preparation.
  • Can troubleshoot blasting and painting equipment and read wet or dry gauges.
