B-TEK Scales, LLC, is a manufacturer of high-capacity truck, rail, floor, and bench scales for weighing solutions in Canton, Ohio.


Job Summary

We are seeking a painter with industrial spray-painting experience to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for the prepping and the painting of the steel weldments. This position is also responsible for the set up, clean up, and maintaining of the multiple paint systems and paint booths. Should have knowledge of different coatings and application methods as it would apply to large steel weldments.


Job Requirements

  • Identify and obtain pertinent information from shop order and shop drawings regarding painting requirements.
  • Set up and operate spray paint systems and pressure-pot paint spray systems to apply prime coat and topcoat paints. Work with solvents, cleaners, paints, and coatings
  • Perform safe operation of standard forklift and overhead cranes for movement of materials
  • Perform housekeeping in the painting areas; maintain operating supplies for painting and perform routine maintenance of all tools and equipment required by this position.
  • Assist in prepping, sanding, and reworking paint
  • Follow standard work procedures
  • Adhere to all safety standards

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as industrial or commercial painter preferred
  • Requires agility and ability to move up and down and around weighbridge modules.
  • Required to stand and walk for long periods; reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Have an eye for detail and understanding of the paint application
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Wear respirator, body suit, and rubber gloves
