Position Summary
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an energetic Safety Professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assist with identifying risks that support safety programs for one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States. Opportunity to work as part of a diverse safety team to help strengthen our safety culture and improve hazard elimination for a world leader in manufacturing technology.
Role and Responsibilities
Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Implement and manage safety compliance programs in adherence to federal, state and local regulations.
  • Manage Samsung electrical safety and hazardous energy programs.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices during task performance at a semiconductor facility.
  • Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; and advise and educate others.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
  • Evaluation of task performance to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
  • Document and track results to support safety program elements.
  • Conduct incident investigations, site inspections, identify root cause, determine corrective actions, and support implementation as related to safety compliance programs.
  • Conduct employee training for education on site safety requirements.
  • Review and audit pre-task plans, site risk analyses and standard operating procedures.

Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
  • Extensive knowledge and application of OSHA 1910-S, NEC, NFPA-70E, IEEE in an industrial environment.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • [Preferred] Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or Studies, Engineering or Risk Management.

The current base salary range for this role is between $65,000 - $107,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
