Job description

Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled GPU Design Verification Engineer (GCDV) to join our team at SARC/ACL. As a key member of our team, you will concentrate on graphics core verification, with a focus on top-level, where you will be responsible for ensuring the comprehensive, end-to-end verification of the GPU core. You will utilize your strong graphics experience, graphics pipeline knowledge, and programming skills to ensure the GPU design meets the required specifications and functions correctly.
  • You perform design verification of the graphics core components, including the front-end graphics (control, geometry), back-end graphics (rasterization, pixel processing), and shader cores, to ensure they function as expected and work together seamlessly to deliver high-performance graphics rendering.
  • You verify the top-level GPU design, including the integration of various components and features, to certify that it meets the required specifications.
  • You perform end-to-end design verification of the GPU core, covering the entire graphics pipeline from input to output, confirming that the entire graphics pipeline is functioning correctly.
  • You debug issues found during verification and work with the design team to resolve them.

Skills and Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/relevant technical field, or 13+ years of experience with a Master's degree, or 11+ years of experience with a PhD
  • Proven experience in Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) top-level design verification
  • In-depth knowledge of the graphics pipeline, including front-end graphics (control, geometry), and end-to-end pipeline
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C++ and python
  • Proficiency with SystemVerilog, Verilog, and UVM for testbench development
  • Familiarity with GPU architecture and design principles
  • Understanding of computer graphics concepts, including 3D graphics, shaders, and graphics APIs

Our Team
The GPU Design Verification team at SARC/ACL owns test plan coverage for Samsung's mobile GPU through three levels: Graphic Code, Subsystem Verification, and Formal Verification. As a geographically dispersed team, we collaborate and interact with other internal teams to ensure GPU architectural designs and modules within the GPU work well across the board.

Total Rewards
At Samsung - SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $180,200 and $297,200. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Samsung employees have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), free onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more. In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.
Additionally, this role might be eligible to participate in long term incentive plan and relocation.
