This role merges two high-innovation categories (PC and XR/VR) requiring a leader with deep cross-industry expertise, strong technology insight, and proven experience commercializing breakthrough hardware and software ecosystems.
This leader will drive US-market product strategy, represent Samsung with key carrier and retail partners, guide long-term roadmap decisions with HQ, and help define how Samsung will compete in emerging spatial computing, AI-enhanced productivity, and immersive device categories. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of navigating fast-evolving trends, interpreting consumer and enterprise use cases, and influencing global planning decisions.
The position reports to the Director, PC & XR/VR Product Management and collaborates closely with other product categories, Sales, Marketing, Retail, and HQ product planning teams.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap Leadership

  • Build and own the US portfolio strategy for both PC and XR/VR categories aligning global innovation with US market insights, customer needs, competitive activity, and long-term ecosystem vision.
  • Develop a cohesive multi-category roadmap (12-36 months) across Windows, Android/Chrome, and XR/VR platforms defining key hero models, price tiers, and differentiated value propositions.
  • Serve as Samsung's market expert, analyzing segment trends including AI PCs, ARM/Windows evolution, spatial computing, optical engineering, wearable displays, and cross-device interoperability.
  • Benchmark competitive products (HP, Dell, Lenovo, Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, etc.) to create clear SWOT analysis and inform strategic recommendations.

2. Go-to-Market Excellence

  • Lead GTM development for launches across PC and XR/VR categories creating positioning, consumer messaging, sales enablement tools, and cross-channel activation strategies.
  • Partner with Marketing, Retail, Carrier, PR, and Supply Chain to orchestrate pre-launch planning, channel readiness, demand forecasting, and lifecycle management.
  • Define the 4P strategy and drive comprehensive product launch across all relevant sales channels.
  • Organize customer setup details, launch timing alignment, and cross-functional coordination for successful commercialization.

3. Customer, Carrier & Retail Engagement

  • Represent Samsung at key customer meetings and retail line reviews articulating product differentiation, ecosystem value, and long-term roadmap direction.
  • Understand detailed partner technology requirements, ensuring portfolio plans meet technical, certification, and business needs across Windows, Android, and XR/VR platforms.
  • Provide risk assessments when products deviate from US-market requirements and influence HQ to optimize global models for the US environment.

4. Market Performance Management

  • Monitor category performance vs. financial targets identifying drivers of share, revenue, and profitability gaps, and creating actionable plans to address them.
  • Track competitive investments, market reception, XR/VR developer ecosystem dynamics, and OS/platform updates to guide portfolio adjustments.
  • Consolidate post-launch learning (VoC, NPS, consumer research, media reviews, channel feedback) to refine future strategy.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with HQ product planning to advocate for US requirements, shaping future PC and XR/VR hardware, software, AI features, and ecosystem integration.
  • Collaborate with Content & Services teams on experience-led differentiators: XR applications, productivity suites, cross-device continuity, AI capabilities, sensors, optics, and platform services.
  • Influence internal stakeholders and executive leadership with data-driven recommendations, strategic insights, and thought leadership around next-gen computing and immersive device trends.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including experience presenting to customers, executives, and media.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience leveraging data, financial models, market research, and consumer insights.
  • Ability to operate independently with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mindset while managing complex portfolio programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree (MBA or technical discipline).
  • 6+ years of experience in product management or strategy roles.
