Job Summary:
Performs duties involved in cleaning and sanitizing furnishing and areas assigned.
Committed to excellence through continuous improvement of the quality of service delivered. Creates and maintains a culture to continuously improve patient and employee satisfaction.
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:
Cleans bathroom and basin
Dusts furniture and dusts and wet mop floors
Stocks bathroom with expendable supplies
Promptly answers telephone and directs all inquiries.
Cleans nursing station, exam rooms, break room, sample room and supply room. Worksmart and Home Health
Cleans furniture, fixtures and clinic surfaces
Cleans lobby
Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishing, floors and equipment with cleaning solutions
Selects cleaning materials and supplies and prepares solutions according to procedures
Returns unused supplies to janitor closet with clean cart insuring all times are replaced in an orderly manner
Collects waste from all assigned areas of the clinic
Trains other employees
Practices Time Management
Identifies location of fire alarms and fire extinguishers in area
Knows appropriate response to codes
Able to locate MSDS
Follows aseptic procedures and precautions when involved in direct patient contact or handling potentially infectious materials
Demonstrates understanding of policies on ethics
Meets the patientโ€™s needs, regardless of whether or not the need is related to โ€œyourโ€ specific area, maintaining a positive customer relations atmosphere
Participates in Team Work, assisting other departments/co-workers as necessary
Demonstrates understanding of policies on ethics
Professional Requirements:
Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times
Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time
Wears identification while on duty, uses computerized punch time system correctly
Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the facility, as well as the focus statement of the department
Regulatory Requirements:
โ€ข High School graduate or equivalent.
Language Skills:
โ€ข Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
โ€ข Additional languages preferred.
โ€ข Excellent customer services skills.
