About the Role


Balance Staffing is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Product Development Sample Coordinator for a part-time opportunity with a food manufacturing company.


This position supports product development, customer sample requests, and commercialization projects. The selected candidate will coordinate the preparation, packaging, documentation, inventory, and shipment of product samples while ensuring accuracy and timely completion of requests.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a food processing environment, strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with production and operations teams.


Key Responsibilities


  • Coordinate product development and customer sample requests from receipt through shipment.
  • Prepare product samples according to established specifications.
  • Label, package, and prepare samples for customer presentations, evaluations, and feedback.
  • Verify samples and processes meet documented specifications and customer requirements.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating production runs with Product Development and Operations.
  • Maintain inventory of ingredients, seasonings, packaging materials, labels, and sample supplies.
  • Enter information and maintain accurate records using computer-based systems.
  • Prepare reports and business correspondence as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, management, coworkers, and production teams.
  • Identify and resolve issues while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
  • Follow all company food safety and quality policies.


Qualifications


  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a food processing environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional, dependable, and proactive work style.
  • Ability to perform data entry and use standard office technology.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of food processing experience.
  • Previous experience in a meat processing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and move between work areas throughout the day.
  • Frequent use of hands, fingers, keyboard, and ten-key.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and relocate up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and reach as needed.
  • Production floor temperatures may range from 30–50°F.
