Job description

About Spring Footwear

Since 1991, Spring Footwear has been creating footwear that brings together comfort, style, quality, and value. As a growing multi-brand footwear company, we are passionate about great products and the people behind them.

Our mission is simple: to develop successful partnerships by creating and delivering the best quality, value, product, and service every day.

About the Role

Spring Footwear is looking for an organized, energetic, and detail-oriented Sample Coordinator to join our team.

This is a hands-on, active position that plays an important role in keeping our footwear samples organized, accurate, and ready for our Sales, Merchandising, Product, and Marketing teams.

You’ll work directly with new footwear collections—receiving samples from international vendors, organizing seasonal sample walls and showrooms, preparing samples for customer presentations and trade shows, assisting with product photography, and supporting quality inspections.

This is not primarily a desk position. Much of your day will be spent standing, walking, opening and moving boxes, organizing footwear, stocking racks, preparing shipments, and working throughout our sample library, showroom, and warehouse areas.

If you enjoy staying active, keeping things organized, and seeing new products before they reach the market, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

Sample Coordination & Fulfillment

  • Receive and process international footwear sample shipments.
  • Unpack, count, sort, and organize samples by brand, vendor, season, and style.
  • Verify incoming samples against packing lists and document discrepancies.
  • Photograph newly received samples and upload images and supporting documentation.
  • Locate, pull, reserve, and prepare samples for internal and external requests.
  • Clean, stuff, label, package, and prepare footwear samples for shipment.
  • Create outgoing and return shipping labels using FedEx.
  • Process returned samples, inspect their condition, and return them to the appropriate inventory, showroom, or development location.
  • Process sample orders and allocations through the company’s OMS system.
  • Provide tracking information and sample status updates to Sales and other departments.
  • Prepare footwear and presentation materials for customer meetings and sales appointments.

Quality Control Support

  • Perform assigned footwear container inspections.
  • Identify and communicate product quality concerns.
  • Assist with product quality inquiries and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality documentation.

Seasonal Sample Walls & Showrooms

  • Build new-season footwear sample walls from scratch based on production catalogs.
  • Maintain current seasonal sample walls and ensure samples are organized and properly displayed.
  • Create and maintain sample identification cards and labels.
  • Assist with sample replenishment and liquidation recommendations.
  • Support showroom organization, visual merchandising, and planogram execution.

Trade Show Support

  • Prepare and pack footwear samples for national and regional trade shows.
  • Organize samples by season, brand, style, color, and booth layout.
  • Gather and prepare trade show supplies and presentation materials.
  • Pack merchandise securely for transportation.
  • Label cartons and document contents to make trade show setup and breakdown efficient.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in sample coordination, inventory, warehouse operations, merchandising, footwear, retail, shipping/receiving, or a related environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience with shipping software, inventory systems, or order management systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently when needed.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout much of the workday.

Why Join Spring Footwear?

At Spring Footwear, you’ll work closely with the products and teams that bring our footwear collections to market. This role provides exposure to multiple areas of the business, including Product, Merchandising, Sales, Quality Control, Marketing, and Trade Shows.

We offer:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Employee discounts on Spring Footwear brands
  • Opportunities for professional growth
  • Collaborative, team-oriented work environment
  • Fast-paced, product-driven culture
