Job description

Job Description

Admin/data entry technician for a food testing laboratory. Offer is 3 to 5 days per week with an opportunity to transition to full-time (8hr, 5 days/week) with excellent performance.

Responsibilities include:

· Administrative duties, including answering phone calls, corresponding with clients via email, filing, preparing outgoing orders, etc.

· Reconcile incoming samples against documents from the client, ensuring sample request information is complete

· Follow all standard operating procedures for chain of custody, sample management and client services, including proper documentation of temperatures and identifying missing information

· Accurately and efficiently enter sample descriptions and tests into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)

· Perform detailed quality control checks on all samples in the LIMS system. We strive for 100% accuracy, free of testing/typographical errors.

· Ideal candidates would have a strong attention to detail and a get the job done attitude

· Other duties as necessary

Requirements:

· Strong computer/typing skills (at least 40-50 words per minute)

· Strong attention to detail and good organization skills

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Must be available to work between the hours of 10am-8pm weekdays and possibly weekends

· Must have punctual and reliable attendance

· Clean background check—no criminal convictions

Pay Rate:

- Pay rate is $18-$20 per hour, depending on qualifications.
