ey Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to pediatric inpatients in collaboration with physicians and RNs.
  • Monitor, assess, and document symptoms, treatments, and progress using SAMMC/WHASC standards.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including IV therapies and emergency interventions.
  • Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations and initiate life-saving measures when necessary.
  • Operate emergency medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKGs, and cardiac monitors.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and family education to promote rehabilitation and recovery.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 1+ year full-time LVN/LPN experience in an Inpatient Pediatric Unit (within the past 3 years) โ€” hospital setting only
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (National League of Nursing approved)
  • Active LVN/LPN license โ€“ any U.S. state or jurisdiction
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC)
  • Knowledge of pediatric medication dosages; willingness to train in chemotherapy support
  • Must pass a pediatric pharmacology exam (80% or higher) and BAMC Telemetry Test
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for government background clearance
