Position Title: Senior Director of Development
Reports to: Chief Development Officer
Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 with potential annual bonus of up to 10% of salary
About the OrganizationThe Samaritan Inn was founded in 1984 as a 10-bed single men’s homeless shelter. Since then, it has grown to become one of the largest shelters for our unhoused neighbors in North Texas. We serve single men, women, and families, with the capacity to serve up to 226 residents. We ensure housing stability through prevention, access, and comprehensive support, affirming dignity, strengthening independence, and cultivating a community rooted in care.
Summary of the JobAs a key member of the Development Team, the Senior Director of Development will be a consistent and focused leader responsible for overseeing the organization's fundraising efforts with foundations, giving circles, and grants. This position requires a visionary leader who can cultivate strong relationships with donors, grant‑making bodies, and stakeholders, while also leading a high‑performing team of grant‑writing professionals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in fundraising strategy, grant writing, and donor cultivation, combined with strong management skills to guide and inspire a diverse team.
