We pride ourselves on providing the absolute best work environment in the restaurant industry and we only hire individuals who will be a good fit with our current team.

If you are willing to show up, work hard, and learn, we’d love the chance to speak with you about joining the crew this spring.

The Cutter is one of the most important positions in our restaurant. This role works the front of the house service line, greeting guests and slicing our oak-fired meats to order. Excellent knife skills and strong customer service are a must.

Applicants need:

  • Be comfortable interacting with guests and providing excellent customer service
  • Possess excellent knife skills and the ability to slice meats cleanly and consistently
  • Be articulate and able to listen and communicate effectively
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in high volume kitchens or food service
  • Be able to weigh meats accurately and follow portion standards
  • Be able to assemble sandwiches and platters following Redwood’s guidelines and presentation standards
  • Be able to work clean, organized, and fast during busy service
  • Be able to self-manage, prioritize tasks and stay focused during high-volume shifts
  • Possess an excellent work ethic and desire to learn and continually grow
  • Have reliable transportation

It would be great if:

  • You have high volume service line or carving station experience
  • You have experience handling and slicing brisket or other smoked meats
  • You have restaurant customer service experience
  • You have leadership experience or the desire to grow into a leadership role

Benefits include:

  • Full time hours and a flexible schedule
  • Guaranteed 2 days off each week including Sundays
  • No late nights
  • Highly competitive, industry leading pay (advertised rate includes tip share)

If you take pride in your knife work, enjoy interacting with guests, and want to be part of a team that takes BBQ seriously, Redwood Smoke Shack would love to meet you.
