Who are we. The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) is a sovereign tribe located in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Bounded by the cities of Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa and Fountain Hills, the Community serves over 9,000 tribal members, and all people conduct business over approximately 96 square miles of residential, agricultural and commercial lands, as a full-service government entity.

Health & Human Services - River People Health Center (RPHC) is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. Examples of Tasks What the job looks like This is a PRN (As Needed) position with a pay rate of $19.23 per hour. To maintain PRN status, the incumbent is required to work a minimum of three (3) days per month

May be required to work beyond normal business hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Perform venipunctures and skin punctures for all age groups. Provide phlebotomy services at the main RPHC clinic and support the Journey to Recovery (JTR) facility, including potential weekend shifts.

Utilize age-appropriate techniques to ensure a calm, safe experience Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling. What you have: Knowledge of theory, principles and scope of practice for a phlebotomist. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing phlebotomist practices.

Knowledge of public health practices and concerns, especially blood-borne pathogen standards and bio-medical risk standards. Knowledge of routine laboratory procedures, particularly those dealing with the collection of blood. What You'll Do Perform venipunctures and skin punctures for all age groups.

Minimum Qualifications Education: Successful completion of a nationally certified Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Program.

Required Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Laboratory Aide. Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing blood draws on all ages. Preferred Experience: Experience in a community clinic or residential treatment setting.

Experience working with Native American communities. Clerical experience with medical records. Special Requirements Valid BLS certification Strictly adhere to HIPAA and SRPMIC HHS policies and procedures.
