Sales & Catering Manager
Salt Fork Lodge & Conference Center – Cambridge, Ohio

Overview
Join a high-performing sales team at Salt Fork Lodge & Conference Center, located in one of Ohio’s most scenic state parks. This role offers a unique work environment, competitive benefits, and quarterly performance-based incentives.

Position Summary
The Sales & Catering Manager is responsible for driving group sales and managing events from inquiry through execution. This includes corporate meetings, weddings, reunions, social events, and more across 6,500+ sq. ft. of flexible meeting space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage group sales inquiries via phone, email, and in person
  • Develop proposals, contracts, and event plans for clients
  • Coordinate event details, including room blocks, space allocation, and catering needs
  • Create and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Maintain accurate records in sales systems (Delphi/StayNTouch or similar)
  • Monitor contracts, deposits, and event deadlines
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless event execution
  • Attend event kickoffs to ensure quality and client satisfaction
  • Achieve sales goals, including prospecting and potential outside sales
  • Participate in forecasting, revenue discussions, and reporting
  • Cross-sell resort amenities, including golf and marina services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum 2 years of hotel sales, catering, or event planning experience
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and listening abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with sales/event systems (Delphi, StayNTouch) preferred
  • Flexible schedule to support business needs
