These competencies ensure efficient platform management, support business operations, and drive user adoption of Salesforce solutions.

What is a Salesforce Administrator?

Both roles often collaborate but serve different functions within Salesforce projects.

What are some common challenges Salesforce Administrators face when managing user requests and system updates?

Salesforce Administrators often juggle multiple user requests while ensuring the platform remains efficient and secure. A common challenge is prioritizing urgent support tickets alongside larger projects, such as system updates or new feature rollouts. Admins must also balance customization requests with best practices to avoid unnecessary complexity. Effective communication with stakeholders and ongoing user training are key to overcoming these challenges and maintaining a smooth-running Salesforce environment.

Job description

Senior Salesforce Administrator

Senior Salesforce Administrator | Seattle, WA | Hybrid

About Us

We are a nationally recognized, independently operated financial advisory firm that has built a reputation for delivering sophisticated wealth management and financial planning services to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. With a presence across multiple major U.S. markets, the firm has earned consistent recognition across top-tier financial media outlets and industry award programs - including multiple "Best Place to Work" designations. The organization is in an exciting phase of growth, with a culture that genuinely prioritizes its people, entrepreneurial energy, and a client-first philosophy embedded in everything they do.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Administrator to join a collaborative, high-performing technology team supporting a dynamic and growing advisory business. This is a hybrid role based out of the Seattle, WA office and reports directly to the firm's Director of Technology. The position offers meaningful visibility, ownership, and a clear path for professional development within the financial services space.

This is not a "ticket-queue" admin role. The right candidate will serve as the internal platform authority - someone who can architect, build, and evolve the firm's Salesforce ecosystem in step with rapid business growth.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary internal subject matter expert and lead administrator for the firm's Salesforce Financial Services Cloud environment, owning platform design, ongoing maintenance, and forward-looking innovation
- Design and build sophisticated automation using Flow Builder, validation rules, and custom declarative tools to streamline advisor and operations workflows
- Lead end-to-end feature development and data architecture initiatives, including integration projects with third-party systems, with minimal oversight
- Manage CRM data integrity on an ongoing basis, including large-scale data migrations - particularly in connection with M&A activity or firm expansions
- Oversee sandbox-to-production deployment cycles and release management processes
- Act as the escalation point for advanced Salesforce troubleshooting across business units
- Provide cross-functional project support and champion user enablement through training programs and internal documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, with a minimum of 2 years working specifically within Financial Services Cloud or a comparable wealth management environment
- Deep expertise in Flow Builder, custom object creation, data migration execution, and cross-system integration support
- Salesforce Certified Administrator (required); Advanced Administrator and/or Platform App Builder certifications strongly preferred
- Proven track record leading Salesforce initiatives within fast-paced, regulated industries such as RIAs, broker-dealers, or financial planning organizations
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to simplify complex business processes and design scalable platform solutions
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience translating business requirements into actionable platform functionality
- Ability to manage projects independently from inception through completion with minimal hand-holding
- Working knowledge of Salesforce release cycles, AppExchange tools relevant to financial services, and platform governance best practices

Compensation & Benefits

- Base salary: $100,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
- 401(k) plan
- Employer health savings account contribution
- Medical & vision insurance
- Continuing education and certification support
- Access to firm-wide culture programs including fitness, networking events, and professional development initiatives

- For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
