Job description

Position Purpose:

The Sales Support Representative at SRS Building Products supports the sales process by managing orders, addressing client inquiries, and providing administrative assistance. This role strengthens contractor relationships, collaborates with Territory Managers to drive growth, and delivers exceptional customer service. Leveraging product knowledge and market insights, the representative offers value-driven solutions that align with regional goals and SRS's commitment to providing "THE BEST & SAFEST" experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, delivery, and order status.

  • Accurately process and manage sales orders and maintain detailed records of sales activities.

  • Provide administrative support, including preparing reports and assisting with presentations.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and timely delivery.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Partner with Territory Managers to support 30+ active accounts monthly and meet sales goals.

  • Make outbound sales calls daily, documenting insights in CRM to drive growth.

  • Collaborate with the Credit Team to manage account credit health and order-to-cash processes.

  • Support teammates during absences to ensure consistent customer service.

  • Monitor competitors and share market intelligence to inform strategy.

  • Demonstrate product expertise through quotes, order management, and client consultations.

  • Represent SRS at industry events to stay current on trends and expand customer networks.


Direct Manager Direct Reports:

  • Reports to the Branch Manager; no direct reports. Collaborates with Territory Managers, Sales Support Representatives, and cross-functional teams to drive sales, maintain customer relationships, and ensure operational efficiency.

Travel may be required occasionally for attending trade shows, conferences, and customer visits.


Physical Requirements:

This office-based role involves standard physical tasks such as communicating clearly, using office equipment, and sitting or standing for extended periods. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required for handling samples or materials. Visual acuity and manual dexterity are essential. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.

  • Occasional travel to Field Support Center in McKinney, TX.
