Job description

Job Title: Sales Support Administrator
Job Purpose: Provide administrative and sales support to the various departments within SPG Life and Annuity.
Firm Overview:
SPG Life and Annuity is an insurance brokerage general agency working with financial advisors across the country to provide solutions that protect their clients' families and businesses. The financial services products we work with are Annuities, Life Insurance and Long-Term Care/Linked Benefit.
Duties include but may not be limited to the following:
  • Screen, log, assess, and direct incoming mail to appropriate recipients
  • Update Agency Management system for various tasks, status, client requests, and resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate and prepare insurance and annuity policies
  • Respond to the client and producer inquiries in a timely and accurate fashion and provide frequent proactive updates as agreed.
  • Communicate directly with customers by telephone and electronically
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of each life insurance carrier's policy service processes and procedures
  • Work with team members or manager to resolve more complex inquiries
  • Develop relationship with internal sales advisor to ensure appropriate service is provided to top producers
  • Assists departments as directed by management or senior members of team
  • Update Paperclip imaging folder/documents
  • Fulfill general sales support requests including illustrations and appropriate marketing materials
  • Document all relevant sales activity in our CRM to reflect new opportunities, current status, next steps and target dates.
  • Maintain various reference materials, product lists, insurance carrier contacts and producer lists
  • Participate in various sales campaigns to enhance and grow our sales programs

Skills/Key Competencies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Can prioritize workflow and understand urgency
  • Must have attention to detail, is highly organized and understand its importance
  • Experience working with data; entering, extracting and analysis
  • Multi-tasking - working on various assignments simultaneously
  • Is able to meet deadlines within tight timeframes
  • Must be a self-starter and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and telephone skills are required; both verbally and written
  • Understands the need for change and is flexible when needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid break for lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks.

Salary Transparency:
The expected salary range for this position is $25 to $27/hr and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HAS and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, personal, floating holidays and company holidays. In addition, eligible annual bonuses, equity and commissions may be available for some positions.
