We are seeking a Service Sales Manager to lead a sales team focused on growing our CHVAC lifecycle solutions offerings. This role directly contributes to the growth and success of Carrier Service and enables Carrier to continue to differentiate themselves as a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.
The Sales Manager will lead a sale team focused on the Arizona and New Mexico markets. This role is a great fit if you are a hands on leader with a passion for teaching, motivating and driving for results.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing, customer-centric consultative sales team focused on helping customers optimize the performance, reliability, sustainability, and lifecycle value of their building assets.
  • Drive achievement of financial objectives by delivering sustainable growth in orders, revenue, and profitability across Service Agreements, Repairs, Modernizations, Controls, Digital Solutions, Rentals and other strategic service offerings.
  • Develop a sales culture centered on understanding customer business objectives and aligning operational expenditure (Op-Ex) and capital expenditure (Cap-Ex) solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes, reduce risk, improve asset performance, and create long-term customer value.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate sales professionals to identify, generate, advance, and close opportunities through a disciplined consultative selling process that emphasizes customer needs and value-based solution development.
  • Remove organizational obstacles and provide proactive support to the sales team to accelerate opportunity progression, improve win rates, and enhance overall sales productivity.
  • Execute a rigorous Management Operating System (MOS) including territory planning, account planning, pipeline management, opportunity reviews, forecasting, activity management, and customer engagement strategies to ensure predictable growth.
  • Optimize sales coverage models and resource deployment to maximize market penetration, customer engagement, and strategic account development across assigned territories and vertical markets.
  • Expand and retain recurring revenue streams through effective installed-base management, customer retention initiatives, service agreement growth, and lifecycle-based sales strategies.
  • Champion the adoption and commercialization of innovative solutions, including digitally enabled services, healthy buildings offerings, sustainability initiatives, energy optimization programs, and other emerging technologies that create differentiated customer value.
  • Foster strong partnerships with operations, engineering, service delivery, finance, and leadership teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and successful execution of customer commitments.
  • Conduct meaningful coaching and development sessions with each team member, providing timely feedback, sales strategy guidance, and professional development opportunities that strengthen individual and team performance.
  • Serve as a trusted leader who balances strategic vision with day-to-day execution while maintaining a relentless focus on customer success, employee development, operational excellence, and profitable business growth.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive sales, business development, account management, or sales leadership experience within the HVAC, building systems, mechanical services, controls, or energy services.
  • 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing sales teams
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mechanical Systems, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred
  • Deep understanding of HVAC asset lifecycle management, including maintenance strategies, capital planning, modernization programs, equipment replacement, controls optimization, energy management, and digital service solutions.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including expertise in ROI analysis, lifecycle cost analysis, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), budgeting, forecasting, profitability management, and business case development.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, retain, and promote top sales talent through effective coaching, succession planning, and employee development programs aligned with Experience, Exposure, and Education (3E's).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) and CRM

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
