Job description

Volt is immediately hiring for a Sales Order Processor in Irvine, CA.
As a Sales Order Processor, you will:
Job Description
  • Support Regional Account Managers with order processing and account management activities
  • Process and confirm customer and wholesaler purchase orders using SAP
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, product information, pricing, delivery status, and tracking information
  • Manage order fulfillment, shipment coordination, backorders, and order exceptions
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy, including part numbers, pricing, and order details
  • Provide order confirmations, proof of delivery documentation, shipping updates, and tracking information
  • Process customer returns, cancellations, freight claims, parcel claims, and sales return authorizations
  • Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and related shipping documentation
  • Coordinate with freight carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments
  • Process, audit, distribute, and maintain customer invoices and records
  • Research and resolve shortages, backorders, mis-shipments, and customer service issues
  • Maintain organized records related to sales orders, returns, customer accounts, and shipping activities
  • Collaborate with customers, sales teams, warehouse personnel, and cross-functional departments to ensure exceptional customer service
  • Educate customers on return policies, freight claims procedures, and order-related processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

This is a full-time Temporary opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in customer service, account management, sales administration, order processing, or related roles
  • Hands-on SAP experience supporting order management, customer service, inventory inquiries, and/or returns processing
  • Experience managing customer purchase orders in a distribution, manufacturing, or factory environment
  • Experience handling returns, cancellations, excess inventory requests, freight claims, parcel claims, and related customer service issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers, sales teams, warehouse personnel, and internal departments
  • Proven ability to manage order fulfillment, backorders, shipment coordination, and customer inquiries
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • SAP Sales Order Management experience
  • Experience with FedEx shipping, freight logistics, bills of lading, and commercial invoices
  • Strong conflict resolution and customer retention skills
  • Excellent 10-key and numerical data entry skills
  • Typing speed of 65+ WPM preferred
  • Ability to deliver customer-focused solutions while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong work ethic and accountability

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
