Position Summary:

The Sales Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the North American commercial organization by delivering exceptional customer service and operational support throughout the sales process. Reporting to the North American Sales Manager and partnering with the global commercial team, this position is responsible for customer onboarding, pricing and quotation management, account support, and sales operations that drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

This role serves as a key liaison between customers and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring timely execution of orders, accurate pricing, and a seamless customer experience. We’re looking for a Sales Operations Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and is ready to build the foundation for a career in sales management.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quotes, update product and pricing information, recommend products and organize samples.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, participate in calls, acting as backup to sales managers are unavailable.
  • Own small accounts, managing communication, orders, and follow-up.
  • Liaise with logistics, finance, and procurement teams to ensure smooth operations and top-tier service.
  • Managing quotations, special pricing agreements, transmitting orders, and organizing samples
  • Checking inventory availability and coordinating with logistics
  • Analyzing customer needs, onboarding customers, and sending contract confirmations
  • Responding to customer inquiries by phone and email across all account types
  • Maintaining CRM records and tracking customer preferences
  • Participating in customer-facing calls and offering sales manager backup
  • Managing a portfolio of small accounts
  • Creating internal reports (e.g., order status, sales KPIs)
  • Supporting campaigns, trade show follow-ups, and marketing activities

 

Experience & Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Customer Service, Account Management, Inside Sales, or Commercial Operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting customer accounts, pricing, quotations, order management, and sales processes.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, and Customer Service.
  • Experience using ERP & CRM systems.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.

 

 Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI’s salary range for this position. The salary range for this role is $72,512.00 to $108,768.00 USD, with a midpoint of $90,640 USD. Offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on skills, experience, and internal equity. In rare cases, highly qualified candidates may receive an offer above the midpoint; however, offers at the maximum of the range are not customary.  Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance. Base salary is one component of OSI’s overall total rewards package. Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.

Work Environment:

  • Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.
  • Work conditions are typical of an office environment.
  • This role requires 10% domestic travel.
  • Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds
  • Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
