Job Summary
The Manager, Sales Operations & Analytics is responsible for leading the delivery of actionable insights that support day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and overall organizational performance. This role oversees a team of analysts and leads analytics initiatives of moderate to high complexity, ensuring the development of scalable reporting, robust data models, and consistent metrics across the organization. The Manager partners cross-functionally to drive process improvements, enhance productivity, improve financial visibility, and elevate internal customer satisfaction. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership, guiding the use of SQL, Power BI, and advanced analytical techniques to solve complex business problems and enable data-driven decision-making.
Essential Functions

  • Leads, mentors, and develops a team of Sales Operations Analysts, Sales Enablement Specialists, & Data/Business Analysts fostering technical growth and analytical rigor.
  • Establishes team priorities, workload distribution, and performance expectations aligned with organizational goals.
  • Promotes best practices in data analysis, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provides coaching and quality oversight on analytical deliverables and insights.
  • Leads and oversees analytics projects of moderate to high complexity, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Defines and standardizes reporting frameworks, data definitions, and KPI structures across functions.
  • Translates business needs into scalable analytical solutions and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensures consistency, accuracy, and reliability of reporting and datasets.
  • Oversees development, maintenance, and enhancement of operational, financial, and performance dashboards, reports, and datasets.
  • Establishes data governance practices to ensure compliance, integrity, and usability of enterprise data.
  • Guides the design of data models and reporting architecture to support evolving business needs.
  • Directs advanced ad hoc analysis across disparate systems to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Reviews and validates analytical outputs to ensure insights are accurate, actionable, and aligned with business context.
  • Drives proactive identification of business risks and opportunities through data analysis.
  • Oversees the use and optimization of SQL, Power BI, and other BI tools across the team.
  • Leads or sponsors system implementations, enhancements, and transitions of metrics into new platforms.
  • Partners with IT and data engineering teams to improve data infrastructure and accessibility.
  • Acts as a strategic partner to business leaders across operations, finance, and other functions.
  • Serves as a senior liaison for internal and external data providers and stakeholders.
  • Resolves cross-functional data definition conflicts and ensures enterprise alignment on key metrics.
  • Guides stakeholders in interpreting data and applying insights to business decisions.
  • Oversees development of reporting to monitor performance, optimize staffing, and support planning activities.
  • Drives improvements in workflows by introducing new metrics and early-warning indicators.
  • Ensures delivery of recurring and ad hoc analysis on productivity, quality, financial performance, and trends.
  • Establishes standards for documentation, dataset management, and analytical processes.
  • Leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and data governance standards.


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field required.
  • 6+ years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, financial analysis, or related fields required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead capacity required.
  • Strong experience designing datasets, writing SQL queries, and building reporting solutions.
  • 3+ years working with Power BI and Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSDT) preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead complex analytical initiatives and deliver actionable business insights.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, operational analytics environments required.
  • Experience with machine learning, AI, or predictive analytics is a plus.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  • Deep expertise in SQL, data modeling, and BI/reporting tools (Power BI required).

The annual salary for this position is:

$140,000.00 to $160,000.00

This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
