Paid Internships: Monthly Stipend



JOB SUMMARY


Monumental Sound and Lighting is looking for a talented and enthusiastic undergraduate or graduate student aspiring to enter the event production marketing industry to join us as the Social Media Intern for Fall 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, and digital marketing within the event and entertainment industry. Interested candidates must submit a resumรฉ and a link to an online portfolio (if available) or any examples of their digital work.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Content Creation:
  • Develop engaging content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube).
  • Create graphics, videos, and written posts aligned with our brand voice and style.
  • Stay up-to-date on trends and incorporate them into our strategy.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Schedule and publish content using social media management tools.
  • Monitor engagement metrics, respond to comments, and interact with followers.
  • Assist in managing social media campaigns and contests.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
  • Track and analyze social media performance using tools like Google Analytics or platform insights.
  • Provide regular reports with actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Brand Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with the team to align social media efforts with marketing and event promotion goals.
  • Assist in brainstorming and executing creative campaigns for product launches, events, and promotions.
  • Research:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and platform updates.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and innovation.


REQUIREMENTS


  • Experience with managing social media and capturing content is a must.
  • Eligible to receive college credit for the internship. 
  • Dedicate a maximum of 25 hours a week to the internship from September 2026 to December 2026. 
  • Pursuing a college degree, preferably in communications, marketing, multimedia, business administration, or related field. 
  • Experience in events and entertainment is a plus. 
  • May require weekend, and/or evening work. 



COMPETENCIES (KSAs)


High-level expertise in social media. โ€ข Excellent oral and written communication. โ€ข Ability to manage multiple accounts. โ€ข Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom etc.) โ€ข Experience in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) โ€ข Ability to succeed in team-oriented and independent project environments. โ€ข Demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressure. โ€ข Coachable, hardworking, multi-tasking, and positive attitude.
