Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager of National Sales role supports the National Sales Manager by providing high-level account management assistance, delivering data-driven insights, and optimizing sales performance. This position is responsible for helping achieve monthly wholesale and retail sales objectives. This role also involves making high-value decisions and recommendations, as well as providing business support across OEM, Dealer, and MMD segments. It leverages advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities to analyze complex datasets, generate actionable reports, and support strategic decision-making. Additionally, the position includes developing compelling PowerPoint presentations with data-driven charts and visuals to communicate sales performance, trends, and opportunities, while ensuring accounts are effectively managed and business objectives are met.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop national sales strategies toward Department goals.
  • Gather, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple systems, transforming it into clear, structured insights and reports to support management decision-making.
  • Create impactful PowerPoint presentations with data-driven visuals for stakeholder and executive communication
  • Improve department processes for efficiency
  • Decide, manage Department policy exceptions
  • Attend customer meetings both onsite and offsite
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • 4-year degree in Marketing or Business OR equivalent work experience Minimum Experience
  • 5+ years of Marine Industry experience preferred
  • Must have 5+ years demonstrated advanced skills in SAP, MS Excel & Power BI. Other Job-Specific Skills
  • Proven analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
  • Understanding of small business financial management (P&L analysis)
  • Strong analytical, written/oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain strong relationships with both intra-department and intra-organization contacts
  • Ability to lead (with and without designated authority)
