Job description

We are looking for a Sales Manager with Outstanding People Skills to enhance the culture of our office.

The Sales Manager will partner with the GSM to oversee and lead the activities of the Sales Department.

This is an active in the field role as a Sales Manager this is not a behind the desk position.

Along with a yearly salary you will also receive commissions on the sales you make. Our company sells home improvement renovations; gutters, roofing, siding, baths are a few of the items we sell.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Is involved in the Hiring and Training of local sales staff.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules, leads (Daily Run), and is responsible for the performance of sales team.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Is involved in the discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to the sales team.
  • Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure quotas are met.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Assigns leads and enforces sets quotas for sales teams, they will assist sales reps that need training or extra help achieve the goals through mentoring and positive feedback.
  • Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
  • Helps resolve customer complaints, sales staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
  • Collaborates with GM and executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  • Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field, OR
  • Comparable record of sales leadership experience required.
  • At least three years of sales experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, driving, standing and climbing ladders along withthe ability to effectively work on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 50pounds at times.
