Position Summary

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading the inside sales team to deliver exceptional customer service, drive profitable sales growth, and support the branch's overall business objectives. This role develops and coaches team members, oversees daily sales operations, manages customer relationships, and collaborates closely with outside sales, operations, supplier partners, and branch leadership to maximize customer satisfaction and business performance.

The Inside Sales Manager creates a high-performance culture by developing talent, improving processes, and ensuring consistent execution of company initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development - Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing inside sales team. - Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions. - Establish clear performance expectations and accountability for sales goals and customer service metrics. - Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture built on teamwork and continuous improvement. - Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.
  • Sales Management - Drive profitable revenue growth through proactive customer engagement and account development. - Monitor sales activity, quoting performance, conversion rates, and customer responsiveness. - Review daily sales opportunities and ensure timely follow-up on quotations and customer inquiries. - Support strategic account planning in partnership with outside sales representatives. - Assist in identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the product portfolio.
