Mancan Staffing is partnering with a local company in Cambridge, OH, to hire a Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team.
Position SummaryThe Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating inbound shipments of raw materials and outbound shipments of finished products. This position will manage domestic and transboundary shipments, coordinate transportation between the companys Cambridge and Zanesville facilities, and ensure accurate documentation, tracking, and communication throughout the supply chain.The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with Operations, Sourcing, Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, EHS, and Distribution to help maintain an efficient flow of materials and products while supporting inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead by example and follow all company safety, environmental, and workplace policies and procedures.Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.Coordinate incoming shipments of vanadium-bearing raw materials with the Sourcing team.Coordinate incoming shipments of non-vanadium-bearing raw materials with Purchasing.Communicate with internal and external customers regarding shipping and receiving activities.Manage required documentation throughout the supply chain.Coordinate shipments and deliveries between the Cambridge and Zanesville facilities.Ensure transportation between facilities is properly documented and tracked.Track and monitor shipments from pickup through delivery.Identify, communicate, and resolve shipping and logistics issues promptly.Work with Accounting, Operations, Sourcing, EHS, and Sales to improve processes and maintain an efficient order and delivery flow.Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.Apply Lean principles and continuous improvement practices to improve logistics and supply chain processes.Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree is a plus.Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment required.Experience in steel, metals, or hot-metal manufacturing is strongly preferred.Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred.Previous experience in material handling, logistics, inventory control, and/or supply chain management required.Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work effectively with employees and departments at all levels.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work demands.Excellent attention to detail.Strong problem-solving and data-analysis skills.Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and a continuous-improvement mindset.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer systems.Experience working with an ERP system preferred.JDE experience is a plus.Ability to obtain and maintain all required DOT training and certifications applicable to the position.Ability to complete and maintain required training related to shipping documentation and regulatory requirements.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
