Operations / Logistics Clerk | Open-ended Temporary position

Montvale, NJ area | On-site M-Th and Remote Fridays

Monday - Friday | 8am - 4:30pm

Position Summary

The Operations / Logistics Clerk supports daily logistics and administrative operations by coordinating shipments, processing orders, maintaining documentation, and ensuring accurate data entry. This role works closely with vendors, customers, freight providers, and internal teams to support the timely movement of goods and maintain efficient business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to meet delivery schedules
  • Schedule full truckload shipments through the company’s freight broker portal
  • Communicate with freight brokers, vendors, customers, distribution centers, and internal teams regarding shipment status and logistics needs
  • Process orders accurately and maintain shipping and receiving records
  • Enter and update logistics, inventory, and order information in company systems
  • Assist with inventory tracking and other operational support activities
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties as needed

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in an office, administrative, logistics, customer service, or clerical role
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow processes accurately
  • Comfortable communicating with internal and external contacts by phone and email
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Logistics experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for candidates with strong administrative and organizational skills and a willingness to learn
