What You Do.  

  • Consumer, Customer, and Market Insights
    • Lead analysis and synthesis of consumer, customer, category, competitive, culinary, and marketplace information using custom primary research, syndicated data, secondary sources, and industry trends.
    • Identify, size, and prioritize growth opportunities by translating findings into actionable recommendations, business cases, and compelling insights stories that support FSI business objectives.
    • Maintain strong connectivity with Consumer Products (CP) business unit Insights partners to exchange relevant consumer, category, and marketplace learning and assess implications for FSI business decisions and opportunities.
  • Business Strategy & Planning
    • Serve as a core member of assigned business team, providing insights leadership to support customer strategies, innovation initiatives, business planning, and growth priorities. Partners with Sales, Marketing, Innovation, Culinary, R&D, Finance, and Sales Planning to align recommendations and drive execution.
    • Leads the Insights contribution to the annual FSI operating plan, situation assessment, and long-range planning processes by synthesizing consumer, customer, category, marketplace, and competitive learning into actionable business recommendations.
    • Acts as a strategic thought partner to FSI leadership and business team by identifying opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, and influencing decisions that support sustainable growth and organizational objectives.
    • Lead data synthesis for FSI reporting using all available syndicated data sources.  Recommend metrics that define customer and product performance success specific to division objectives.
    • Partners closely with Sales Planning to support annual planning, forecasting, performance management, customer prioritization, and business reviews.
  • Research Management & Capability Development
    • Manage research suppliers, budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure effective project execution and delivery of business objectives.
    • Identify and evaluate new research methodologies, data sources, suppliers, and analytical approaches to strengthen insight quality and business impact.
    • Develop training and support adoption of insights tools, resources, and best practices across functions to maximize business application and value.
  • Occasional travel up to 20% required.

Your Education and Experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree (MA/MS or MBA) preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in market research with a consumer packaged-goods manufacturer.
  • B2B experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Syndicated data analysis
  • IRI/Nielsen, NPD Group, Innova, Datassential
