Job description

Overview
We're on a mission to fix dental software, and we're not playing small. Our platform replaces clunky, outdated systems with modern, cloud-based, AI-powered technology built to actually work at scale. From practice management to imaging to revenue cycle automation, we're tearing down the old infrastructure and rebuilding the future of dentistry. Planet DDS is the fastest-growing provider of dental practice management solutions and the #1 cloud platform for DSOs and multi-location groups.
Here, you won't just join a team-you'll join a movement. We want bold thinkers who are ambitious enough to push limits, empathetic enough to work as one, and accountable enough to own big outcomes. Trust is our currency, collaboration is our edge, and impact is our fuel. If you're ready to grow fast, challenge the status quo, and help reinvent an entire industry; Planet DDS is where you belong.
As a Lead Product Marketing Manager, you will serve as a senior individual contributor and trusted strategic partner to Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership. You will own portfolio-level go-to-market strategy, define category-level positioning, and lead complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution. Operating with high autonomy, you will shape how the market sees Planet DDS, drive feature adoption and customer retention to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Launch Strategy: Define and own launch strategy across a product portfolio or major product area-including positioning, competitive strategy, launch planning, and messaging-with direct influence on revenue and adoption outcomes.
  • Positioning & Messaging: Develop authoritative positioning and messaging frameworks that differentiate Planet DDS in the market and resonate with DSO executives, practice administrators, and clinical leaders across all channels.
  • Collateral & Content Creation: Own drafting and production of high-quality marketing collateral-including one-pagers, battlecards, product briefs, presentations, web copy, and customer-facing content-that brings strategy to life and meets a high bar for clarity and impact.
  • Competitive & Market Intelligence: Serve as the go-to market and competitive authority for your product area. Synthesize industry trends, regulatory shifts, and competitor activity into clear points of view that inform product launch strategy and product roadmap decisions.
  • Product Launches: Lead end-to-end planning and execution of product launches, coordinating across Product, Sales, Account Management, and Marketing to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue growth.
  • Sales Enablement Partnership: Develop the strategic content, messaging frameworks, battlecards, and narrative inputs that equip Sales Enablement to train and arm the sales team effectively.
  • Customer Marketing & Adoption: Own customer-facing marketing programs designed to drive adoption of new features and products among existing customers. Partner with Account Management to develop lifecycle communications, in-product messaging strategies, and campaigns that deepen product utilization and support retention goals.
  • Customer Retention: Develop messaging and marketing programs that reinforce ongoing value for existing customers-including renewal support content, expansion plays, and customer proof points that strengthen loyalty and reduce churn risk.
  • Product Strategy Input: Partner with Product Management on pricing, packaging, and roadmap decisions, bringing buyer insights and market intelligence into internal planning. Build ROI models and customer proof points that bridge research and product direction.
  • Thought Leadership: Position Planet DDS as a category leader in the dental SaaS space through compelling content, industry events, webinars, and executive presentations. Represent the company externally as a credible voice in dental technology and DSO management.
  • Performance Tracking: Define and track success metrics for GTM programs, customer adoption campaigns, and enablement inputs. Synthesize results into leadership-ready insights and drive continuous improvement based on data and market feedback.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • 8-11+ years of experience in product marketing, with significant depth in B2B SaaS; dental, healthcare or healthtech experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus.
  • Proven track record of owning portfolio-level GTM strategy and executing complex product launches with measurable business impact.
  • Experience developing customer marketing programs that drive feature adoption, product utilization, and retention-ideally in a SaaS subscription model.
  • Deep expertise in positioning, messaging, and competitive strategy, with the ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical buyers.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using customer research, market data, and win/loss insights to drive strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations and external thought leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders across Product, Sales, Account Management, and Marketing without direct authority.
  • Comfortable operating with high autonomy on loosely defined, systemic problems; able to structure ambiguity and drive toward outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with CRM, marketing automation, or project management tools preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Required to sit for prolonged periods of time

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
