Job Description RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Sales Engineer in Remote (50%-70% travel required). This is a full-time direct-hire Remote assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as a Sales Engineer Our client is seeking a technically credible, commercially driven Sales Engineer to accelerate growth in the Gas Power market across North America and from time-to-time other target geographies. This role is dedicated exclusively to large-frame Gas Turbine and Combined Cycle markets and will focus on driving growth across the three major OEM ecosystems (Siemens Energy, GE, Mitsubishi Power), as well as directly with end-user operators and independent service providers. This is not a transactional sales role.

It requires a technically fluent and experienced long (sales) cycle complex technical sales market maker who can engage OEM engineering, outage managers, and plant leadership while identifying and developing frame-level deployment opportunities. The successful candidate must combine engineering credibility with business development drive - capable of creating and navigating demand to convert opportunities. This role is ideal for someone comfortable with nuance, wearing multiple hats, working in a fast-paced environment, and meeting aggressive targets.

As a Sales Engineer YOU will: Market & Account Leadership: Collaborate with the Director - Gas Market to execute the North American Gas go-to-market strategy Develop and manage relationships across OEM service organizations (Siemens, GE, MHI) and key utility operators Identify and prioritize high-value entry scopes (HGP/CI outages, aft-compressor restoration, casing upgrades, rotor protection, HRSG cleaning) Navigate OEM-controlled environments and LTSA structures to identify viable participation pathways Engage directly with outage managers and plant-level decision makers to generate pull-through demand Technical Commercial Positioning: Translate HVTS, cleaning, and restoration solutions into clear operational and financial value cases Position solutions around compressor efficiency, casing and rotor life extension, sulfidation, and MW recovery Engage engineering stakeholders on metallurgy, thermal cycling, oxidation mechanisms, and dimensional restoration Support technical discussions related to OEM design standards and frame-specific requirements (F, G, H, J classes) Coordinate with internal engineering to align masking design, qualification pathways, and execution planning Opportunity Development: Build and maintain a defined pipeline of Gas Power opportunities within CRM Drive opportunities from early-stage identification through technical qualification and award Develop account strategies tied to outage timing, budget cycles, and fleet-level upgrade programs Support development of concise, technically credible proposals and business cases Market Expansion & Market-Making: Proactively identify installed-base clusters by turbine frame type and geography Create multi-plant campaigns targeting "no-VR/no-opportunity" sites and underpenetrated fleets Support expansion beyond casing claddings into adjacent flow-path solutions Contribute to industry positioning via conferences, user groups, and targeted executive outreach Reporting & Accountability: Maintain disciplined CRM tracking, stakeholder mapping, and next actions Provide monthly updates on pipeline progression, barriers, and OEM dynamics Support Gas revenue scaling targets aligned to objectives YOU are the ideal Sales Engineer candidate if you have: Engineering degree (Mechanical, Materials, or other related field) 8-15 years of experience in Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Generation markets (10-20 years preferred; candidates with less experience and other redeemable qualifications will be considered) Sales background (required) Experience in turbine maintenance, rotor repair, compressor restoration, or surface engineering Strong understanding of outage cycles (CI, HGP, Major), LTSA frameworks, and fleet-level service models Demonstrated ability to sell technical engineered services or aftermarket upgrades Existing relationships within OEM service organizations or utility fleets Experience navigating OEM/end-user political dynamics Engineering literacy sufficient to engage in materials, thermal, and mechanical discussions US-based with ability to travel extensively (50-70%), including occasional international travel Comfortable with nuance, wearing multiple hats, working in a fast-paced environment, and meeting aggressive targets It's a BONUS if you have: Advanced degree in engineering or related field Experience with cladding or surface engineering technologies Established network within the gas turbine industry Track record of achieving aggressive sales targets in technical markets About Our CLIENT Our client is a leading provider of advanced surface engineering solutions for the gas turbine power generation industry.
