 Hixwood Metal is Wisconsin's premier source for all your coil, blank flat stock, slit coil, agricultural, pole barn, shed and building supply needs. We specialize in supplying the industry with products that are at the top of the spectrum. We have been proudly serving West Central Wisconsin with quality building components since 1998.
Position Purpose: Become part of a successful sales team playing a fundamental role in achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.
    The job requirements include but are not limited to the following:Â

Primary Role Expectations:Â
Source new sales through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.Â
Provide customers with quotes and pricing. Â
Close sales and achieve goals. Â
Answer phone calls, emails and in-person sales inquiries from customers. Â
Work directly with customers to understand their needs and expectations. Â
Ability to handle several accounts simultaneously. Â
Maintain and expand your database of prospects. Â
Learn and use enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, CRM system (Hubspot), and estimating software (Smart Build).Â
Work as a team player by assisting the sales department as needed. Â
Manage your accounts, collecting receivables within 30 days of project completion.Â
Assist as needed with training incoming customer service representatives. Â
Actively participate in trade shows and other industry events. Â
Provide all customer feedback to the Sales Development Manager. Â
Occasional travel to customer site. Â
Other duties as assigned.Â
Requirements
 Qualifications:  Â
Great customer service skills are a must! Â
Previous experience in the construction or building materials industry. Â
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude. Â
Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Â
Ability to work with little supervision in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively. Â
Proven inside sales experience is a plus. Â
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions. Â
Need to be independent, self-motivated and a team player. Â
Must have mathematical skills commensurate with position.Â
Strong phone presence with experience dialing dozens of calls per day.Â
Strong listening and presentation skills. Â
Experience with Office Productivity Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Â
Education and Experience Requirements: Â
High school diploma or GED. Â
At least one year of inside sales experience is preferred. Â Â
Physical Requirements: Â
Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. Â
Walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time.Â
