SVA is looking for an onsite Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing Business Development team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this newly created role, you'll be at the forefront of our firm's growth strategy—introducing prospective clients to SVA's accounting, tax, advisory, and consulting services while partnering closely with firm leadership and subject matter experts.

What You'll Do

As our Sales Development Representative, you'll generate qualified business opportunities through thoughtful outreach, relationship development, and strategic follow-up.

Drive New Business Conversations
  • Execute targeted outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, and digital sales campaigns.
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, referrals, events, and website activity.
  • Research prospective clients and personalize outreach to increase engagement and response rates.
  • Build targeted prospect lists using ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other prospecting tools.
  • Monitor prospect engagement and adjust outreach strategies based on activity and interest.
Support Industry Events & Conferences
  • Coordinate logistics for conferences and trade shows, including booth materials, shipping, setup, and follow-up.
  • Represent SVA professionally at local and national industry events.
  • Capture and qualify event leads while ensuring timely entry into HubSpot.
  • Coordinate post-event outreach campaigns that maximize lead conversion.
  • Schedule meetings with prospective attendees before conferences.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to attend to conferences as needed may be required. 
Qualify Opportunities
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand business needs and determine alignment with SVA's services.
  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
  • Evaluate opportunities and maintain accurate prospect information within HubSpot.
Create Seamless Handoffs
  • Schedule introductory meetings for Business Development leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Provide detailed meeting notes and prospect insights to ensure successful transitions.
  • Support prospects throughout the early stages of the sales process.
Manage the Pipeline
  • Nurture early-stage prospects through ongoing communication.
  • Re-engage dormant opportunities when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and consistently document outreach activities.
  • Share market feedback and prospect insights that help improve messaging and campaigns. 

What You'll Bring

Required: 

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales development, inside sales, business development, or a similar outbound sales role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using a CRM platform (HubSpot preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% for conferences and industry events. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience using HubSpot for sequences, workflows, reporting, and task management.
  • Familiarity with ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lemlist, or similar sales engagement tools.
  • Experience selling into B2B organizations or within professional services.
