Job description

Build relationships. Create opportunities. Launch your sales career.

Woodland Direct is looking for a motivated and relationship-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help grow our professional customer business.

You’ll connect with contractors, builders, designers, and other industry professionals to introduce Woodland Direct, understand their needs, and create qualified opportunities for our Sales Representatives.

Previous sales experience is helpful, but not required. We’re looking for someone who is confident, curious, competitive, and motivated to build a career in sales.

What You’ll Do

  • Research and identify new professional prospects.
  • Make outbound calls and send targeted emails to start conversations and generate interest.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to qualify potential customers and uncover opportunities.
  • Schedule appointments and provide strong handoffs to Sales Representatives.
  • Follow up with prospects and maintain accurate activity in our CRM.
  • Partner with the sales team to improve lead quality and grow the pipeline.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently meeting outreach and appointment-setting goals.
  • Creating a healthy pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
  • Turning initial conversations into relationships our sales team can grow.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence initiating conversations and building relationships.
  • Resilience—you can hear “no” and keep moving.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
  • Comfortable learning CRM, email, and phone systems.
  • Sales, lead generation, or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required.

Why Woodland Direct?

You don’t need to come in knowing the hearth industry. We’ll provide the product training, tools, and support you need to succeed.

  • Bring the energy, curiosity, and drive. If you enjoy connecting with people, like working toward measurable goals, and want an opportunity to grow in sales, we’d like to meet you.
