Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic sales team. The SDR will play a critical role in generating and managing leads while maintaining and growing a healthy sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will excel in prospecting, qualifying leads, and setting the foundation for long-term client relationships, all while managing and nurturing an active pipeline for seamless transitions to Account Executives.


Reports To: Sales Strategy Manager 


Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

  • Identify and target potential leads through outbound outreach (phone calls, emails, social media, etc.).
  • Research and qualify new business opportunities and potential clients based on fit, need, and buying signals.
  • Maintain a high level of outbound activity to meet and exceed lead generation goals.

Pipeline Management:

  • Own the full sales pipeline from initial lead contact to handoff to Account Executives.
  • Accurately track and update lead status, pipeline stages, and communication in CRM
  • Continuously monitor pipeline health to ensure proper forecasting and the timely movement of qualified leads through the sales process.
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline activity to sales management and executives.

Lead Qualification:

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads using qualification frameworks such as BANT, CHAMP, or MEDDIC.
  • Engage with leads to understand their business needs, challenges, and goals, determining whether they are a good fit for the company's solutions.
  • Schedule and set appointments for follow-up meetings, demos, and calls with Account Executives.

Collaboration with Sales Team:

  • Work closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth transitions and follow-up of qualified leads.
  • Provide insights and feedback on lead quality and customer pain points to help refine targeting strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment on campaigns and lead-generation tactics.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Meet or exceed lead generation and pipeline management KPIs (e.g., number of calls, emails, qualified meetings set, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in the CRM.
  • Generate reports to track pipeline health and sales progress, providing recommendations for improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously improve sales techniques through training, feedback, and self-driven research.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and product knowledge to effectively communicate with leads and prospects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in a sales or business development role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools
  • Knowledge of the industry and market trends 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.    

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Development Representative or similar sales role (preferably with pipeline management experience).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and pipeline stages simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) to manage sales activities and pipeline.
  • Goal-oriented with a strong drive to meet or exceed targets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced sales team environment.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a growth mindset.
  • Experience in industry or familiarity with our products/services is a plus.
