Description
The Executive Director of National Accounts is responsible for managing sales and business operations within the national accounts team. The team is responsible for developing relationships with our largest customers. You provide tactical and strategic support to that aligns with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
  • Sales executive with ten or more years of sales and territory management experience and at least two years working in a sales staff management capacity.
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively via air and automobile.
  • Self-motivated; capable of working without direct supervision.
  • Accept and benefit from constructive criticism.

Essential Elements for Executive Director of National Accounts:
  1. National accounts Performance to Sales Goal
    • Exceed sales revenue goal as defined in the current business plan for national accounts and vertical markets.
  2. Staffing & Organization
    • Maintain staffing of all national account positions with qualified, productive, best in territory personnel.
    • Maintain channel alignment within this group to ensure the appropriate specialist manages opportunities and projects related to their sales and development channel
    • Each team member prepares goals and business plans for developing incremental revenue with top projects and prospects in the area of responsibility assigned
    • Each team member continuously maintains a personal business calendar to reflect at least three weeks of confirmed and planned meetings with integrators, National alarm installation companies typically in a sales role.
  3. Team Performance
    • Manage, train and motivate all team members to achieve objectives established in DMP's strategic plan.
    • Each national account team member is exceeding their sales baselines and sales goals.
    • Each national account team member is considered a subject matter expert on DMP products and services.
    • Each national account team member represents DMP following published company Mission & Values and in compliance with all company policies and departmental guidelines.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The specific task responsibility is to produce top-line sales revenue as outlined in the current Business Plan for National Accounts and Vertical Markets. The sales goals will vary from year to year consistent with the DMP corporate business plan.
  • Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals.
  • Ensure that both top-line objectives and expense budget objectives are managed and met.
  • Work directly with the Vice President of Sales to establish strategies, tactics, and go to market plans for sales for the entire company.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with direct reports and work with other departments to ensure overall company success.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve business relations with our customers.
  • Keep leadership informed by preparing, reviewing, and submitting activity reports, pipeline reports, and market analyses.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Observes and adheres to DMP Data Classification Standard.
  • Conduct daily business and represent DMP following published company Mission & Values and in compliance with all company policies and departmental guidelines.
