Job description

Position Overview:
The Business Development Executive is responsible for cultivating and managing strong relationships with architects, general contractors, developers and other specifiers, to drive and close sales. Focusing on identifying and qualifying commercial project opportunities. The Ideal candidate will develop and implement strategies to generate and acquire new accounts and provide information to the project management team to close sales.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Prospecting daily to generate new business opportunities and leads for Commercial projects, targeting Architects, Developers, General Contractors, Project Managers (New Development & Multi-family) to fuel the sales pipeline
  • Promote our products and services to be specified in commercial projects
  • Conduct in-depth research on potential prospects to assess their suitability for Commercial projects
  • Identify and establish communication with key decision makers such as Managing Partners, VP of Development, VP of Construction, Chief Estimators, Internal Architects, Head/VP/Director of Design, and Director of Renovations
  • Systematically compile contacts for Developers, Architects, and General Contractors in RM for streamlined automated email processes
  • Efficiently maintain a high level of account management and follow-ups
  • Engage with General Contractors to process pre-qualification through our corporate team and secure placement on bid lists
  • Send bid invitations through our central process, where they will identify potential scopes of work for our services and process estimates
  • Working closely with project management teams to ensure alignment, share information, and optimize completing of project.
  • Continuously meeting or exceeding monthly and yearly revenue targets
  • Plan and host showroom tours/events for industry trade to drive sales
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and association activities (AIA, ASID, IIDA, etc.)

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of sales experience, in a B2B environment with exposure to commercial sectors, building materials industry, and/ or selling products for new development and multi-family homes
  • Knowledgeable in commercial space plans and drawings
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Self-driven to develop own book of business through cold calling & networking
  • Proficiency in CRM and prospecting tools, preferably with experience BCI & Zoom Info USA
  • Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation for client visits and on-site meetings

Education/Licenses:
  • High School Diploma: Associates preferred
  • BA - Interior Design/Architecture is a PLUS
